The E2 Core is the sensible-money smart charger: New Zealand-made, slim, and it does the two things that actually matter at home — charges from your spare solar and protects your switchboard from overload — without paying for features you won’t use.

7.4kW on single-phase (32A). Adds roughly 40km of range per hour on most EVs — a full overnight charge for almost any car.
5-metre tethered Type 2 lead with a cable hook. Long enough for most garages and carports; tell us your parking spot and we’ll confirm reach.
Built-in solar diversion: the charger watches your export and feeds the car with power your house isn’t using, instead of sending it to the grid for cents.
Monitors your whole house draw and dials the charger back when the oven, aircon and hot water all fire at once — so a 7kW charger can live on a board that couldn’t otherwise take it.
Off-peak scheduling and tariff settings in the Evnex app, so it charges when power is cheapest and stops when it isn’t.
Full monitoring and control in the Evnex app, carbon tracking, 7-day local support and ongoing updates. LED status ring on the action button.
4-year manufacturer warranty.
The E2 Plus adds colour choices, an 8m cable, multi-charger load balancing and Tesla integration. Ask us if any of those matter for your setup.
A real Evnex install, not a product render. This one is post-mounted outdoors with the lead on a hanger.

Homeowners with solar (or solar planned) who want a quality smart charger at the affordable end. Ideal on older Peninsula boards because the overload protection often avoids a board upgrade.
Every EV install starts with your switchboard and supply. If it needs safety switches, a new main switch or more capacity, that goes in the same fixed quote — one number, one visit, no phase two.
Its own protected circuit from the board, cable sized for the run and the load, mounted where you actually park. Concealed runs where the house deserves it.
We connect it to your Wi-Fi and app, set the solar and scheduling up with you, test it on your car, and issue the Certificate of Electrical Safety before we leave.
Pricing: Charger typically $900–$1,200 plus install; we quote supply and install as one fixed number after checking your board. See the full cost guide for what moves the number.
Yes — solar diversion is built in on every Evnex charger, any inverter brand. We fit the monitoring clamp at your board so it can see your export.
Often, yes. The home overload protection lets the charger throttle itself so the total house load stays safe. We still check the board first; if it needs safety switches or a new main switch we quote that in the same number.
For a car parked in the garage or carport next to the charger, almost always. If the car lives further away, tell us at quote time — the E2 Plus has an 8m lead, or we position the charger closer.

Tell us the charger, your suburb and whether you've got solar. We'll come back the same business day with one number that includes the board check. Or call 0495 105 784.
